Herbology 101: GoldenSeal

This popular product for the immune system is a bitter herb that has some astringent properties. The root contains the alkaloids hydrastine, berberine and canadine.

The alkaloids in goldenseal support immune system health and support healthy inflammation response.

Historically Goldenseal was used by the Cherokee Indians at least 300 years ago and has been highly prized by Native Americans for ages. It was used for immune-building and for a wide variety of topical and skin issues.

Herbology 101: Lutein
