Blueberry consumption has skyrocketed over the last few years. In fact, it’s more than doubled over the last 6 years, according to the graphic below from the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council.
And with good reason, too. They are low calorie and packed with nutrition. Health benefits of blueberries include high sources of fiber, manganese, vitamin C, phytonutrients, polyphenols, anthocyanins that give the fruit its blue hue, and other antioxidants.
