HomeBusinessHow to Create a Facebook Business Page Getting your online business going and keeping it going can seem like an overwhelming task. I want to break everything down into manageable pieces. We’ll start with Facebook. If you don’t already have a Facebook business page, I’ll show you how to make one. Before you login to Facebook, however, you’ll want to pick a business name. Don’t get caught up on this one. If you don’t have a name in mind or can’t think of one, use your own name with “healthy living” or something similar following your name.I’m going to walk you through how to create a business page on Facebook. You can also convert your personal account to a Facebook Page. According to Facebook: We’ll transfer your current profile picture and add your friends and followers as people who like your Page. Your account’s username will become the username for your Page, and the name on your personal account will become your Page’s name. If you want your Page to have a different name, consider creating a new Page.Since I’ve never done this, I’ll leave it up to you and Facebook. If you are interested in going that direction, you can read more here: https://www.facebook.com/help/116067818477568Here are Facebook’s basic instructions for creating a business page (this is only an outline, we’ll go into more detail below): https://www.facebook.com/help/104002523024878STEP #1Select Create Page from the dropdown.Step #2Once you’ve done that, you’ll have to select a page type. Your options are Local Business or Place; Company, Organization or Institution; Brand or Product; Artist, Band or Public Figure; Entertainment; Cause or Community. If you have business hours and a brick and mortar store, select Local Business or Place. If not, you can choose to go with Brand or Product or Company, Organization or Institution. In most cases, I would go with Brand or Product. If you would like to know a little more about each option, here’s a great article: http://www.marketinggum.com/types-of-facebook-pages-for-business/Select Brand or Product by clicking on it and then click on the “Choose a category” tab and select Health/Beauty. In the “Brand or Product Name” field, type in your company’s name. And now you have a Facebook business page. Next time I’ll go into what it takes to fill out your Facebook page (adding images, about us info., etc.).When you’re ready to move on to the next step (adding your cover photo and profile picture) read this post.Click Here to learn about online marketing tools offered by NSP.
